Files in the /settings Folder
All game data files created while playing SoliLuxe are placed in the /settings folder.
SoliLuxe usually preserves all these settings between minor program updates, but sometimes
the format for one of the files listed below may change — if that happens, SoliLuxe will ignore
the file made with an older version at startup and reset those settings to the defaults.
Here is a list of the file types that may appear in the /settings folder:
Player specific
-
savegame_{playername}.sav — Contains the in-progress game to be restored on startup.
-
settings_{playername}.sav — Contains the general game settings, mainly for the Settings tab
in the Options window.
-
grSettings_{playername}.sav — Contains graphics customisation settings for all menu and
backdrop graphics, and also per-game theme settings for registered users.
-
statistics_{playername}.sav — Contains game statistics: Number of games played, number of games won,
current records, etc.
-
filterSettings_{playername}.sav — Not surprisingly, contains the player's
last used filter settings.
-
favourites_{playername}.sav — Contains the player's list of favourites.
Common to all users
-
players.sav — A list of all currently defined players.
-
patienceInfo.sav — A list of all available games and their filter properties.
You can force a regeneration of this list by unchecking the Quick start checkbox
on the Settings tab (which obviously will slow down the startup process a bit).
-
{list name}.lst — Each .lst file contains a list of games which can be loaded in the
filter on the Games tab. They are created by the ListMaker tool. A number of pre-made lists are
delivered with the game, including a list of new games with each release.
-
{series name}.sgs — Each .sgs file defines a game series. .sgs files are handled in
the Series/Scores tab of the Options window.
-
{colour set name}.set — Each .set file defines a set of colours that can be used in IconMaker.
-
grSettingsDefault.def — Contains factory default settings for position marker and
menu info text colour and opacity, set per table and menu backdrop that comes with the game.
